Mohamed Faizal Kasim @ Abdul Aziz is Senior Vice President of Group Legal & Secretarial Division at UDA Group of Companies. His job portfolio at UDA Holdings Berhad is wide-ranging and crucial to the successful operation of all company matters, which include corporate, commercial, financial services, conveyancing and litigation matters. His job entails providing accurate and timely legal counsel, and he ensures that the Group is in compliance with the provisions of Companies Act 2016 and regulations of the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
He has almost 25 years of experience in Corporate Secretarial practice and Legal portfolio. His knowledge of the law and expertise in complex issues of buying and selling of properties and title transfers, legal and financial documentation, contracts and resolutions of disputes, as well as skills in communication, negotiation and organisation ensure that the wheels of business run smoothly at UDA. Besides that, he undertakes duties of the corporate secretarial functions, as well as acts as the company secretary for UDA Group, responsible for all Board and committee meetings and managing board and committee governance matters.
Faizal Kasim graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from International Islamic University Malaysia and is a licensed Company Secretary with the Companies Commission of Malaysia. Prior to UDA, he held positions at MK Land Holdings Berhad, Maybank Berhad, Iskandar Investment Berhad, Sapura Group of Companies, Scan Associates Berhad and Bumi Armada Berhad.
